Corey’s Specialty Areas:

Professional Credentials:

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Washington State
  • Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

With over 14 years of experience, I support individuals, couples, and polycules in creating change that feels grounded, lasting, and meaningful. My approach is holistic and relational — attending to emotional, sexual, psychological, and social wellbeing. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help strengthen the foundation that allows for deeper connection, fulfillment, and resilience.

What does couples therapy with me look like? We explore where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go together. I draw from specialized training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Imago Therapy, and Sensate Focus — powerful tools for strengthening communication, intimacy, and trust. Whether you’re healing after betrayal or wanting to deepen connection, I help guide couples toward relationships that feel authentic and secure.

I’m also passionate about supporting men in reconnecting with themselves, navigating relationship roles, and cultivating emotional and sexual health. For clients experiencing distress related to desire, sexual functioning, or compulsive behaviors, I offer informed, non-shaming support tailored to your values and goals.

My background includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I specialize in sex therapy, co-occurring disorders, and supporting clients exploring diverse identities and relationship structures.

Individual therapy with me is collaborative and strengths-based. If you’ve ever wondered, “Can therapy really help me feel more connected?” — the answer is yes. Let’s create space for insight, healing, and lasting growth.

Justin Pere is one of my top referrals for men and couples in Seattle.

I have worked with many women who have seen Justin as part of couples counseling and they have felt his support and guidance were extremely helpful for their relationship. Justin is a kind, compassionate and highly experienced therapist who I would recommend without hesitation!
