Emma Ehrlich, MA, LMHCA

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

(she/her pronouns)

Sessions with Emma are available in-person in Seattle or through telehealth.
Session fee: $185 for individual clients, $195 for couples/relationship clients

I work with individuals and couples who want to feel more connected to themselves, to each other, and to what matters most in their lives, especially when anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or emotional overwhelm are impacting their relationships.

Many people reach out when they feel stuck in repeating patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety or intrusive thoughts, or unsure how to move forward in their relationships. Others come in feeling disconnected from their bodies, navigating chronic health issues, or trying to make sense of a major life transition.

I offer in-person counseling in Seattle and online therapy throughout Washington State, depending on what feels most supportive. My goal is to create a space where you can feel understood and grounded while we work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Together, we’ll clarify your needs and strengthen your relationships in ways that feel steady, practical, and aligned with your values.

Areas I Commonly Support Clients With:

Professional Credentials:

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Washington State
  • Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Seattle University
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor (Washington State)
  • Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy
  • Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200)

In our work together, I offer a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with your own sense of agency and possibility. Therapy with me balances reflection and insight with practical tools you can use in daily life, so that change feels both meaningful and sustainable.

How I Work

My work with individuals and couples draws from the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and somatic practices. I take a collaborative, attuned, and depth-oriented approach, paying close attention to how emotions, relationships, the body, and personal history intersect.

I’m especially drawn to somatic approaches, which are particularly helpful when anxiety, trauma, or chronic health concerns show up in the body and affect connection. With couples, some of what I help partners to focus on are attachment dynamics, relationship anxiety, and strengthening communication and mutual understanding.

Together, we’ll address what’s happening in the present while also gently exploring the deeper roots that sustain stuck patterns. Each session is tailored to your values and goals, and paced in a way that feels respectful and supportive.

Experience That Informs My Work

Before joining Clarity Counseling Seattle, I supported clients across a range of settings and facilitated skills groups and coaching. These experiences help me meet people where they are and adapt the work to what’s most helpful.

My background in yoga and mindfulness, along with formal teacher training, informs a nervous-system-aware and somatic lens. This allows me to integrate structure and flexibility in a way that supports each client’s unique process.

What You Can Expect

Clients often describe sessions with me as steady, curious, and compassion-forward. I’ll help you slow down, notice what’s happening in the moment, and build skills that make everyday life and relationships feel safer and more connected.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy making ceramics, spending time with friends, and finding a warm spot in the sun.

Justin Pere is one of my top referrals for men and couples in Seattle.

I have worked with many women who have seen Justin as part of couples counseling and they have felt his support and guidance were extremely helpful for their relationship. Justin is a kind, compassionate and highly experienced therapist who I would recommend without hesitation!
