Maggie Fisher-Shipley, MA, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

(she/her pronouns)

We've loved having Maggie on the Clarity Counseling Seattle team, and we're excited for Maggie to be launching her own practice, Sound Sex & Relationship Therapy, starting on April 20th. If you wish to work with Maggie, please email maggie@soundsrt.com

Many of the individuals, couples, and polycules I work with are navigating intimacy, identity, or emotional pain and want a therapy space that feels expansive, nonjudgmental, and deeply affirming. Professional Credentials:

My approach is grounded in warmth, respect, and curiosity. I work with individuals, couples, and polycules through a lens of inclusivity and emotional safety, helping clients explore identity, improve intimacy, and navigate healing or growth while staying connected to what feels most authentic and meaningful to them.

I earned my Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University, where I also completed specialty training in sex therapy through Antioch’s Sex Therapy Certificate Program. I’m currently completing advanced training in the Developmental Model of Relational Therapy.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Registered Nurse specializing in neuroscience, critical care, bioethics, and patient safety and quality improvement. This background deeply informs my holistic, systems-aware approach to care and wellness.

In therapy, I take a humanistic, collaborative, and systems-informed approach. Together, we’ll track patterns, clarify what’s working and what’s not, and create space for growth that aligns with your values, strengths, and lived experience.

I believe everyone deserves love, empathy, and the freedom to live as their most authentic self. The need for emotional safety and connection is universal — and therapy can be a powerful place to cultivate both.

Outside of work, I enjoy art, music, science, style and design, movement, and spending meaningful time with my loved ones.

Justin Pere is one of my top referrals for men and couples in Seattle.

I have worked with many women who have seen Justin as part of couples counseling and they have felt his support and guidance were extremely helpful for their relationship. Justin is a kind, compassionate and highly experienced therapist who I would recommend without hesitation!
